What to send
The more of this you include, the closer the first number will be. Photos matter most — we estimate from them.
- Photos of the space — a few angles, taken from where someone would stand. For new construction, the plans instead.
- The stair detail — if it is a staircase, the rise and the number of treads.
- What you like — a photo from our gallery or anywhere else. Style is easier to show than describe.
- Finish — powder coat color, or just tell us interior vs exterior and we will advise.
- Your timeline — especially if you are working to a framing or move-in date.
What happens next
- Preliminary estimate, ~one business day. From your photos or plans. No visit, no obligation.
- If it works, we scan. A Trimble X9 captures the space as it actually is.
- Exact itemized quote. Built from the scan, so the price and the fit are both real.
- Deposit, then build. 50% deposit, 50% on completion. Your install date is set from the shop schedule when the deposit lands.
- Install. Our own crew, typically a single day.

How do I get a quote from NW Iron Works?
Send photos of the space, or the plans if it is new construction, through the form on this page, by email to Ruben@nwironworks.com, or by calling 360-857-8002. We come back with a preliminary estimate, usually within one business day. If that number works, we 3D-scan the site and turn it into an exact, itemized quote.
Do I need a site visit to get a price?
No, and we would rather you did not start there. We quote from photos first so nobody spends an afternoon on a site visit for a project that was never going to pencil. The scan comes after the preliminary estimate is approved.
What should I send with my inquiry?
Photos of the space from a few angles, a rough measurement of the run if you have one, and any plans or inspiration images. For new construction, the plans alone are usually enough. Tell us the finish you have in mind and your target date if you have one.

The shop is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific, and closed weekends. We answer during business hours; leave a message any time and we will get back to you.
